Woman and son watch object fall to ground in North Carolina

“I with my son in my car waiting that morning for his bus before school. We were sitting at the end of the driveway; it was at 6:20, still a bit dark, but the sun was already coming up.

Around say 6:28, I just happened to look directly in front of me towards the neighbor’s house when I thought I saw a falling star across the man's backyard beyond the trees.I was quick to realize that it was not a falling star, and then quickly told my son to look at this thing falling.

I had thought at first I was seeing things, so I had to ask him to look. He couldn't believe it either, and had a puzzled look on his face.

I asked him, "Is it a helicopter?" and he said, "No mom, cause it's not making any noise and the lights are coming out of it from everywhere." So now I started freaking out because I wanted to know what it was, but it happened in a blinking of an eye. It came down quickly, but like it was out of control and trying to regain control.

It was a ball-like shape with light beaming if that's what you want to call it from every side of it. Well I kept watching it, then out of shock I had to get out of the car just so I could see if I could tell what it was better outside.

I still had my eyes on it the whole time because I was afraid it would go away before I got outside. By the time I ran out of my car and went about 10 ft. I saw it still out of control, and then it vanished behind the trees and some clouds.

I do remember thinking that I wish there were no rain clouds because maybe at least I could have seen it go down better, but I don't think that would have mattered because of the trees.

I was in amazement and shock, but happy that my son saw it too, but still wondering what it was. If it was a helicopter then we would have heard about it on the news that day because I went home after my son got on the bus and looked up the news and anything that would help me find out what that was.

If anyone saw that thing that morning, nothing was reported. I still wonder and have no idea what that was. There has to be someone else other than us that saw that. Because this sighting was not that far from my son's school and the church someone must of seen something, right?”

Recalling an encounter of the hairy kind

"NORTH WILKESBORO - Some people spend decades searching for Bigfoot.

Rick Lunsford says that 32 years ago, he ran into the famous furry fellow by accident at the edge of a cornfield in Wilkes County.

UFO report off Wrightsville Beach, likely military training

"WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT) - A group of people staying at a house in Wrightsville Beach filed a report on the UFO website, "MUFON," saying a ball of light and several white orbs were spotted off the coast.

The report states nine people at a house near the Carolina Yacht Club saw a "reddish orange light blinking erratically" in the distance before another, white light appeared and disappeared before dividing into "nine orbs" in a "V formation."

Bigfoot Hunters Leave NC With Unanswered Questions

"BURKE COUNTY, N.C. -- A group of researchers affiliated with legendary Big Foot Hunter Tom Biscardi left North Carolina Sunday after spending Saturday night camped out in the woods near Highway 18, south of Morganton, to investigate a recent footprint sighting.

The researchers set up cameras but said they didn’t find anything. They told Eyewitness News that they will evaluate what they do have and determine if they will return to look again.

Group members said they believe the footprint, which was discovered by a farmer, is real because it shows dermal ridges like a hand print and a mid tarsal break, which is evidence of a foot that bends in the middle, unlike that of a human..."

Two witness unknown object hovering near Charlotte, North Carolina

Date of event: April 30, 2010
Location of event: Charlotte, North Carolina

"We were sitting in the living room of a third story condo watching a movie around 9:30 PM. The sliding glass windows face south towards a man-made lake.

I suddenly noticed a bright light in the sky that didn't seem to be moving like an airplane or helicopter. It hovered about 500 feet above the center of Charlotte, and did not move. There were no flashing lights like an airplane or helicopter would have. It had an orangish light eminating from it.

Two unidentified craft suddenly moved toward it and one hovered close for about 3 minutes and the other moved away and was determined to be some sort of airplane. The second craft finally moved away from the unidentified object in the sky.

We sat and watched in awe as the unidentified object slowly started moving up in the sky about 100 feet up and towards the condo. It sat there for another five minutes before going back to the spot it was in to begin with. The light never changed shape, color, or brightness.

The owner of the condo suggested that we take pictures of the unidentified craft. We took several pictures of the things in the sky. One of the witnesses stayed out on the deck and watched as yet another unidentified craft approach the first craft.

It also hovered near for a few minutes before it too, took off in the opposite direction. Around 10:00 PM, we noticed that the object in the sky started to diminish in size and brightness, until it disappeared in the night sky.

We looked at the pictures and question whether or not anyone could make out anything in them, but we are still enclosing them just in case."

The Brown Mountain lights is a strange phenomena in the state of North Carolina. Some call ghost lights, other call it earth lights.

There not seen so often and videos of the phenomena are rare. But the lights was caught on tape in 2009.

Back-lit saucer-shaped object seen in North Carolina

"I was out walking my dog, and I looked up and saw a blimp-like object that looked like a saucer-shaped object that moved with no sound and I guess no engine as we know them. It moved slowly and it was like dark matter - that was the only way I know how to describe it. The light behind the craft made it visible, and I could see just how huge it was.

You could see the blackness of the ship outline. You could see the eeriness of the ship. I was so afraid just because of the size of this thing? I guess that I am in shock. My dog just looked at me fall to the ground. Why is this being a regular thing here, and not all of the area.

I feel that I need someone to protect me and the rest of society from these flying objects. I just wish that people would realize that these are a threat to us. The Airport wouldn't say either way if or not there was anything in the sky that night?"

Several unidentified objects over North Carolina

Date of event: March 19, 2010
Location of event: North Carolina, USA

"I started to sky watch about 8:15 PM EST. I saw a lot of commercial traffic along with local aircraft. I saw 1st object that appeared as an aircraft about 8:25 PM that changed its lighting pattern while in flight, and had no detectable noise moving south to north at a very slow rate. I grabbed one of my stepson's friends to come watch, and he saw the object hovering and just blinking North from house and then disappeared.

Later we saw several other objects that had the exact same light pattern that flew over with no sound also. Flying very slow. We continued to watch the sky, and at approximately 9:30 PM, we saw an object that passed just west of the house moving south to north that looked like two small coffee cups stacked open end on each other.

It seemed to be lit up by an external light, and had one white blinking light on the upper portion. This visual was made by both of us through binoculars. It traveled at a very slow rate. We watched this for about 5 minutes.

About 9:45 we saw an object that was traveling north to south, change directiond 180 degrees and go back. We watched as it disappeared beyond the houses. We returned to house to get warm for a bit, but when returned outside we never saw anything for the rest of the night."

Flickering objects gather the attention of witnesses in North Carolina

Location of event: Banner Elk, North Carolina

"Three of my friends and I decided to go star gazing on top of a mountain in Banner Elk, NC. It was exceptionally clear. We took 2 cars, 2 of my friends were in another car. They drove to the spot before me and my other friend arrived. I got a text from them around 2:00 AM, saying they had seen a UFO. We quickly got to them, but they said it had disappeared. They said it hovered above the skyline and quickly disappeared.

I was curious so I looked everywhere I could to find something similar to what they described. They described it as red, green, and white flashes of light. All of a sudden, on my right hand side, I noticed something flashing, much brighter than all the other stars. It also flashed red, green, and white light. It stayed stationary for approximately 20 minutes before going into a pattern.

We then noticed 2 more, side by side, close to the star Betelgeuse, following the same pattern of movement, and they had the same flashing lights. Eventually the original one I spotted began to drop below the mountain, and then bobbed up and down, still visible. It then disappeared. The other two objects began to get more faint like they were farther away. Then to the far left of me, one much closer appeared out of nowhere, also with the same pattern and colors.

Then out of nowhere it disappeared. The only two that were left were the two closest to Betelgeuse. We sat and watched until approximately 4:30 AM."

Large, glowing object seen over Mackey Mountain in North Carolina

Location of event: near Mackey Mountain, North Carolina

"At around 8:00 PM I went to the grocery store about 2 miles from my house. I spent about fifteen minutes inside. It was dark. As I'm walking to my car in the parking lot, facing west is a group of 3 mountains, Greenlee, Hoover and Mackey. Directly above Mackey is a VERY bright object.

I stop and look and rush to my car. The shopping center is attached to a Lowes Hardware. Lowes is in a large field that borders a large shrub farm. I drive to Lowes parking lot and roll down my window, facing west. The object appears to be white with hues of blue emanating at times.

Mackey Mountain is about 3 miles away, as the crow flies. I watch the object for a few minutes, and decide it might be overhead at my house, because you can see Mackey from my front porch.

I call my dad on my cell phone and tell him to go outside and see if sees anything. I keep my eyes on the object until I start getting closer to Mackey and realize it must have been behind the mountain instead of over top of it.

This would make it MUCH larger than I originally thought. I turn back around and go back to Lowes but it is gone. My father didn't see anything.

This is not the first experience I've had. Had a very intense experience in '05. I came home to check if anyone posted sightings in NC and someone had posted one today in Wilmington. That's the east coast of the state and I'm at the western part of the state. Perhaps the two are related."
