Unknown object photographed over Kentucky?

Report from MUFON: Date of event: April 4, 2011

kentucky040411“On April 4, I was visiting Richmond, Kentucky. As I was enjoying the country life and driving to see my family, I was taken by the beautiful sunset, so I asked my daughter to roll down the window and take a photograph of the sunset for me.

It was only upon looking at the series of photographs the next day that I noticed the bright star in the upper right corner of all the shots and decided to zoom in for a closer look. Much to my surprise, it was not a big, bright star, but clearly a big, bright white triangle shaped object.

Upon further examination, I noticed that directly below the triangle, to the right of the light post, is a black circular object that does not look like a plane or helicopter. The most significant thing about the place I took the photographs is that it is directly adjacent to the Blue Grass Army Depot - which houses large munition storage, chemical weapons, and a new chemical weapon destruction facility.

My thoughts about these photos are either, good job America on the new technology, or, heads up US Government and military, we have visitors eyeing Blue Grass Army Depot and weapons of mass destruction. Americans better hope the intelligence behind this spy craft is ours, and is protecting the airspace around these weapons of mass destruction.

Let us hope that BGAD is not being targeted for mass destruction of America.”

Police: Woman was checking out "haunted" 10th floor

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Fox 41) -- Louisville Metro Police say they arrested a drunk Louisville woman early Friday morning after she decided to investigate a claim that the 10th floor of the Seelbach Hilton Hotel was haunted.

According to an arrest report, police were called to the Seelbach at the corner of 4th St. and W. Muhammad Ali Blvd. on a report of a disorderly person. Hotel security allegedly found 30-year-old Jennifer Greer lying unconscious in the hallway on the 10th floor of the hotel. On the floor next to her were broken picture frames that had been hanging on the wall.

Police say Greer smelled of alcohol and had red, glassy eyes…

Multi-lighted object seen over near Yatesville Lake, Kentucky

Report from MUFON:

Date of event: August 5, 2010
Location of event: Yatesville Lake State Park, Kentucky

"I had just finished putting my dogs in their pen for the night, and looked up into the sky above the tree line and saw an object made of several lights, sort of hovering. I noticed the object because it seemed out of place in the night sky. This startled me so, I walked back toward my house and the object slowly moved down behind the tree line.

When it moved, it did not move in straight lines or abrupt zigzags, but more fluid-like, more like swimming than flying. When I first saw the object I thought it could be a plane or a chopper, but I heard no noise and immediately thought it was a UFO.

After the object passed, all the hair on my body stood on end. I came inside, told my wife what happened, and got a flashlight. I went back outside, and followed our driveway all the way down to the gravel road (around 400 ft).

On the way I felt watched and started hearing owls and coyotes up in the hills around our land. I went back inside and got my revolver, loaded it and went back outside to take yet another look. I did not see the object again or hear the coyotes or owls. We live at the head of a hollow near Yatesville Lake."

Sea monster or carp lurks at Lakeside?

"Lakeside Park, with its Rose Garden and fountains that drown out the sound of nearby traffic, is probably one of the more tranquil spots in the city, not the place to go if you’re looking for excitement.

Lately, though, there’s been a buzz in the neighborhood about the goings-on in the pond. It involves something that has come to be called Lakeside Nessie.

Yep, Lakeside has its own sea monster...

Witnesses in Kentucky see multiple unknown objects

Report from MUFON:

Date of event: May 15, 2010
Location of event: Fort Wright, Kentucky

"I am hoping someone else saw what we did this Saturday night. I was at a birthday party, and around 10:30 PM, we were all on the front porch of my friend's house in Ft. Wright, Kentucky. Someone there pointed, I think it was to the southwest, and we saw hundreds of pulsating lights going across the sky.

It looked like a plane would look at night, but there were hundreds of them. It was a cloudy night, so they were definitely traveling under the clouds, pretty slowly across the horizon. We lost sight after they traveled behind the tree line across the street. After the majority of them were behind the tree line, we would see a couple here and there trailing behind.

I have never in my life seen anything like that before. I have been searching on the Internet to see if I can find anything on it, but have not had any luck. I e-mailed the Cincinnati Observatory, but have not gotten a response from them either. I know I am not crazy. Everyone else at the party saw it too. If anyone has any answers, please let me know. It is driving me nuts. I tried to take a video with my phone, but it did not work.

Thanks for your time."

Haunted places - Waverly Hills Sanatorium, Louisville, Kentucky

Right in the heartland of the United States, in Louisville, Kentucky, lays the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. It originally opened in 1910 as two-story hospital to accommodate 40 to 50 tuberculosis patients, but the building we see today was built in 1926 and has always been dedicated to the treatment of tuberculosis patients, a fairly common disease back in the early 20th Century.

Many people lost their lives at the sanatorium. It is estimated that as many as 63,000 could have died inside the walls of this concrete building, but that’s only a legend. Some researchers say the true number of deaths is about 8,000, pretty far from the alleged 63,000.

Many of those deaths can be linked to various forms of severe mistreatments of patients and experimental research on them as well. That may well be the fuel for the reported paranormal activities, which includes unexplained voices and screams, isolated cold spots and shadows moving in the hallways.

THE “DEATH TUNNEL”

One of the more popular legends from the sanatorium is about the “Body Chute”, also known as the “Death Tunnel”, a tunnel where dead patients were tossed. When tuberculosis reached its peak, about one body per day was thrown in there. The doctors thought that this would prevent the disease from spreading any further.

The location has been a popular place for paranormal investigators. SyFy’s Ghost Hunters has investigated the place twice, including one live investigation and the place has also been investigated once by the Most Haunted crew.
