‘Loch Ness monster’s Aussie cousin exists’

"Melbourne, June 11 : An Australian cryptozoologist is convinced that there is an aquatic beast related to the Loch Ness monster lurking in Sydney’s Hawkesbury River.

According to the Hornsby and Upper North Shore Advocate newspaper, in 1965, Rex Gilroy and his wife Heather began gathering information on a creature he believes still lives in the major waterway.

Even police believed Loch Ness monster existed in the 1930s

'Nessie' picture branded a hoax

"ATTEMPTS to tout a charcoal drawing supposedly of the Loch Ness Monster as a masterpiece by the Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher have been dismissed as a 'scam' by the managing director of a company which licenses the use of copyright on all the artist's work.

An on-line campaign has been mounted to authenticate the drawing found in an attic by retired traffic cop Raffaele De Feo in Voluturara in Southern Italy. The story has hit the Italian national press and TV..."
