Michigan family witnesses two unknown flying objects

Report from MUFON: Date of event: April 11, 2011

“On 4/11/11 about 11:00 - 11:30 PM, my entire family witnessed two unknown objects about 200 ft above the tree lines coming in from the NE and flying SW.

Neither object made any noise.

We had been watching the night sky observing different lights when suddenly out of nowhere from the NE, we saw a very odd-shaped object flashing red/blue lights.

Then from a more Northern direction was a "plane-like" craft seemingly following the first object at about 3/4 mile behind. If you were not outside observing these two objects flying overhead, you would have never known they had flown over. Neither object made any noise.

They were both flying about 50-60 mph. The second craft appeared to be in the shape of a triangle and had two, large amber circle tail lights on either end of the craft.

The tail "lights" were very far apart.

I believe that what we saw here in Lansing is the same thing that the person in Fenton reported seeing. We were also all very shocked and could not figure out what we were looking at. The first object that was flashing the red/blue lights, I can't even explain the shape, it looked like the bottom object had a second object stacked on top as if it was carrying something.

Both objects continued flying southwest and eventually flew out of our sight.”

Unknown, metallic object spotted in daytime over Lansing, Michigan

Report from MUFON:

Date of event: June 10, 2010
Location of event: Lansing, Michigan

"Downtown Lansing about 11:05 am - Walking towards Kalamazoo and Grand Ave, and saw something bright in the sky. Looked up, assuming it was a plane. The sun was glinting off of it very strongly when I first saw it - only the "nose" wasn't shining. It moved deliberately across the sky.

It was lower than all other planes and did not have contrails. It made no sound. When I got to Kalamazoo I realized it didn't have wings or a fin. The metal and shape reminded me of old 50's trailers that were all steel/aluminum/whatever.

I thought, "UFO?" but didn't REALLY believe it. I looked both ways, crossed to the turn lane, looked back up, and I couldn't find it. I searched in the same area of the sky and found it - but it was BARELY there!

It was a clear blue sky - clouds would not show up for 2 hours - and even though this was VERY low, it was disappearing. I could see the outline the clearest, the inside was now the same color as the sky. I looked at traffic and then crossed (less than 15 feet) and when I got to the sidewalk, I couldn't find it.

It should have been directly ahead of me in the sky (looking northward), I looked in that clear sky for 5 minutes and could find it. No one else saw it. Downtown Lansing is full of people at this time of day (State Workers) and it was a warm day, so there were many people walking.

I looked around and realized that no one was looking up and that MOST people DON'T. Watch people next time you are out - they are either looking at the ground or at eye-level. Anything could be flying overhead and, if it doesn't make noise, no one's going to see it."

Is Otsego Lake Inn haunted by past residents?

"GAYLORD — Do you believe in ghosts? The Mid-Michigan Paranormal Investigators do, but only if they can prove it scientifically.

Using “state-of-the-art” equipment such as split screen monitors, infrared cameras and high-tech audio recorders, the team works to capture the sights and sounds of apparitions at locations reported to be haunted.

According to Matt Moyer, lead investigator, if they can’t record it, it didn’t happen...

Family sees two triangles over Michigan

Report from MUFON:

Date of event: April 11, 2010
Location of event: West Bloomfield, Michigan

"My family (three of us) was driving from West Bloomfield, Michigan, to Pontiac on Telegraph Road, when we looked to our right, just before the Oakland County Court House, and just after the Summit Place Mall. There were two aircraft in the sky, seemed to be triangle shaped, extremely low flying, and they seemed quite small - maybe three-four feet across.

They would touch one another and then shoot apart and touch each other again. It appeared to be a game of leap frog. Both craft had white, blue, and red lights on them. We were not sure what the objects were, they appeared to be large kites, but kites cannot move the way they maneuvered.

The driver refused to stop to allow us to get a better look at them; we saw them for about four to five minutes, long enough to know they were not kites. We lost sight of them quickly because we were moving."

Two Unknown Objects Seen near Flint, Michigan

Report from MUFON:

Date of event: March 17, 2010
Location of event: near Bishop International Airport, Michigan

"We were watching for the satellite and it was a bright, clear night, full of stars. A craft appeared and floated towards Bishop Airport. A second craft did the same. We contacted the airport about this incident and were given a number to call in Detroit. They were not interested about this and blew my mother off.

After this, the next day our phone went dead. We have Comcast cable with Internet, phone, and cable TV. We have had the same setup for around 4 years never with any issues. Only our phone went dead. The cable man said it had something to do with the splitters, but as I am very handy with computers and IT things related, I had checked these myself and there were no issues that I could see.

I just recently found this web site and figured you guys would be interested in it. My mother and her boyfriend are the ones who witnessed this, and she would be more then happy to explain it to someone who will actually listen and take her seriously. If anybody else in Michigan witnessed this, it would be great to hear from you and compare notes. However, my mother and her boyfriend did not have the video camera out.

Thank your for reading, and good luck with everything you are doing. Hopefully it won't take to long for the government to tell us the truth about this instead of covering up every bit of evidence."

Cigar shaped UFO - long as football field over Michigan

Report from MUFON:

Date reported: February 25, 2010
Date of event: February 16, 2010
Location of event: Okemos, Michigan

"On February 16, 2010, at or about 3:08 PM, I was driving south on N. Meridian Rd, north of Grand Rives Ave, near Okemos, MI. Weather was very cloudy, solid, dark storm type clouds, they did not appear to be moving. I was not looking at the sky, but noticed large movement through the tops of approaching trees.

I realized immediately what I was seeing was not normal and slowed the car to a crawl, all most stop, as I am not one to look away from the road in front of me while driving. I saw a large oblong shape (cigar shape) at least the length of a football field or even longer. The height I can only guess was maybe 80 to 100 foot tall. It was maybe 1000 foot off the ground. I really do not know, but did measure with my hand. It was darker then the clouds behind it.

It was a matted, flat charcoal black with very defined edges, it seemed like it was outlined in a darker black at the edges. If it were not for the darker edges, it almost would have been camouflaged to the clouds behind it, but the edges made the shape very defined and stand right out. The shape was moving southeast steadily, but much slower than an airplane. My brain tried to say that it was a HUGE black airplane, however there were no wings. If it were a plane I could see it clear enough.

I should have seen huge wings, but it was way, way, too big to be a plane, and moving too slow to be a plane. I watched it for about 10 seconds then it disappeared. About 6 seconds after that, it reappeared for about 15 seconds again, still moving in the same direction. No lights, it just disappeared again. I thought maybe I should stop and just watch for a few minutes, then decided to go slow and keep glancing for it in the direction it was headed, and I could get past the trees, and maybe see it totally unobstructed from trees.

Although, in no way did the trees prevent or alter what I was seeing, I just wanted complete view without any trees. I continued south on Meridian Rd seeing nothing. I crossed Grand Rive Ave, continued on, when I came to the I-96 overpass. About 5 minutes after seeing the object I decided to stop the car on top of the overpass and just look, as long as no cars were on the road. I figured I would just look in the direction the craft was heading when I saw it, taking advantage of the height of the overpass and wide-open space and maybe see it again.

I was not stopped but maybe 30 seconds and I saw a lightning-like, almost blinding pulse-type intensity flash of blue, white clear light in the sky at about the same height as the object was flying. The flash was not lighnting. It held a large oblong shape for the entire time it was visible, about 6 seconds. I would say the shape was the size of a large two-story house.

It was directly over the highway towards Williamston. It seemed to have depth somehow in the center. I have to feel this was related, as that area would have been about where the object would have been if it continued on the same path of flight and speed it was traveling just minutes earlier. I cannot think of anything else in the area that it could have been. It was not a normal thing to see, and it was above the highway, which goes on for miles in the same direction at the same elevation, it would not have been a reflection from traffic in the distance, it was too high. It reminded me of a huge doorway, but it was like lightning. There were cars approaching so I moved on.
