UFO? No, probbaly just a bug
Information from UFO digest.com:
"Location of sighting: Roanhead, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, UK.
Date and time of UFO sighting: 23/07/009 @ 15:49hrs
One of the most exciting and possibly highly significant UFO reports to be sent to me came from a gentleman named Mr Bob Atkins of Cumbria, UK.
Bob was happily playing with his dog by a pool of water at Roanhead, Barrow-in-Furness. While videoing his dog on a mobile phone video camera he inadvertently captured a mysterious flying object in the sky.
Bob told me that the original video is 0h 3m 11s in length, but he cut the first 2 Min 37 seconds so as to leave just him videoing his dog.
Bob explained:
“The object appears in this video for about 1 second and you have to go into freeze frame to actually see what the object is as in normal play it just appears as 4 black flashes on the screen. This was captured on 23/07/009 @ 15:49hrs. In that 1 second the last few frames are the few that I think are most significant.”
As Bob says the object can clearly be seen whizzing across the screen at immense speed. I spent a good while checking Bob’s footage and the UFO seems to be a very solid entity to me with a shiny, light upper surface and darker underlying form below. The speed is impressive too and I would estimate the altitude of the object to be something around less than 100 feet.
Bob added:
”I have no other explanation for this. While filming this at the point where the phenomenon appeared I was facing approximately north. The first black spot appears in the clouds to the left of the screen then goes to the right and then to the forefront of the shots.”
Bob’s remarkable sighting reminded me of my own twister UFO event of 2008, in so much as the defined shape and how the entity suddenly whizzes into sight as if appearing out of nowhere."

The Solway Firth Spaceman
Very often, photographs of the paranormal are fussy and blurry, which makes it easy for skeptics to attack its authenticity. But, there exist a handful of clear and distinct paranormal photographs that the skeptics have had a harder time with. One of those photographs was taken in 1964 on a hill in the northern parts of England.
It was on May 24, 1964 when firefighter Jim Templeton and his wife decided to take some photographs of their daughters in Burgh Marsh, near Burgh by Sands, Cambria, with Jim's Pentacon camera. Jim took a photograph of his five year old daughter Elizabeth. The Templeton's were the only people on the marsh throughout the day. Nothing seemed to out of the ordinary, except they the animal behaved strangely. After the photograph of Elizabeth was taken, the family headed home.
Image right: The photograph in question. Still a mystery.
One week later, Templeton picked up his photographs at the local photochemistry. The person at behind the desk said it was “a pity that someone in a spacesuit had destroyed the best picture of Elizabeth by standing behind her.” Jim thought it was a joke. He was absolutely sure that they were the only the marshes that day. But sure enough, someone was standing behind his daughter in what looked to be a spacesuit. Templeton, confused and angry, took the photograph to the police.
THE POLICE: “IT WAS JUST A PERSON”
Also the police was surprised by what Templeton shows them. To them, it was without a doubt that someone was behind Jim's daughter, despite, whatever it now was; it looked to be floating rather than standing. The police sent the photograph away to Kodak, the manufacturer of the film. Either could Kodak identify the anomaly. The only they could say was that the photograph was genuine and had not been manipulated.
The police had started to investigate the case, and after a few weeks, they were able to conclude that the anomaly in the photograph was just human. Also, one of the investigators tried to make Templeton confess that it was his wife that had, by mistake, stepped behind Elizabeth at the time for the photograph. But why would the wife were a spacesuit and how did she make look that she was floating?
MYSTERIOUS VISITORS AND A LINK TO AUSTRALIA
The case gets even stranger. A few weeks after the incident, Jim was visited by two mysterious visitors. The two men arrived in a black car and wore dark suites, but except that, they looked normal. Their behavior was also strange; they only referred to one another by numbers and asked the most unusual questions as they drove Jim out to the marshes. The men tried to make Jim admit that he had just photographed an ordinary man walking by. Jim behaved polite, but rejected their theory. At this point, the men became angry and drove away, leaving Jim for a five mile walk home.
But the story does not end there. After some time, it becomes known that similar phenomena had occurred when a Blue Streak space rocket was due to be launched from Woomera in Australia. The countdown was postponed when two automatic survey cameras had independently spotted two large figures in the firing area during the countdown phase. But how is a missile launch in Australia related to Jim's photograph? It turns out the photograph was not taken far away from the factory were missile was constructed.
This is how far we can go when it comes to this photograph. Despite years of investigation and leads from the other side of the world, we're left with a photograph of a little girl and a person that one has been able to identify.

X Files reveal UFO sighting
"UFOS were spotted heading for Warrington in December 1998, according to previously top secret files recently released by the Ministry of Defence.
A group of four people saw ‘a low flying object with three large red lights shining directly underneath it’ before it moved off in the direction of the town centre.
The witness said: “There was no sound associated with the object ... and none of the nearby trees appeared to move from any draught the object may have made at the time of moving off..."

Knebworth House is haunted by novelist says Lord Cobbold
"THE pen is mightier than the sword – an iconic proverb coined by Victorian novelist, poet and playwright Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839.
It’s a phrase which makes regular appearances to this very day; just like its creator, the ghost of whom is said to haunt the gothic Times Territory stately home where he once lived.
Lord David Cobbold, the great-great-grandson of Bulwer-Lytton, made the revelation about Knebworth House on the BBC Radio 4 show Desert Island Discs, which was broadcast on Sunday..."

UFO files: Winston Churchill 'feared panic' over Second World War RAF incident
"The former Prime Minister allegedly banned reporting of the “bizarre” incident, off the east coast of England, for half a century amid fears disclosures about unidentified flying objects would create public hysteria.
He is said to have made the orders during a secret war meeting with US General Dwight Eisenhower, the then commander of the Allied Forces, at an undisclosed location in America during the latter part of the conflict.
The claims are contained in thousands of pages of declassified files on UFOs, released on Thursday online by the National Archives..."

Ex Hertford cop’s ‘close encounter’ after UFO sighting
"A FORMER police officer saw a UFO, and what he thought were children that “disappeared all of a sudden”, while driving from Hertford to Puckeridge.
The sighting was in July last year, but has only emerged within the last few days on a UFO-watcher’s website.
In his tantalising account the ex-cop, who identified himself only as Nick R, wrote: “I saw whilst driving along the A10 going home one evening after work north a light which was not the moon, orange and oval in shape. I drove into my parking space in Puckeridge and went into my flat. Faffed about for about 10 minutes then went outside for a cigarette..."

Scientific evidence of poltergeist knocking?
"Paranormal rappings associated with apparent poltergeist activity have been described for many hundreds of years. It is only now that an interesting pattern has been discovered within the fine detail of the paranormal rapping sounds. No explanation can be found for this pattern at present.
The current edition of the Journal of the Society for Psychical Research (SPR), a learned publication dating back to 1882, carries an article by scientist Dr Barrie Colvin B.Sc., Ph.D., showing instrumental evidence for an inexplicable and objective banging sound detected in recordings made during alleged poltergeist activity.
Whereas raps and knocking sounds produced by ordinary means exhibit a normal acoustic pattern, those recorded in alleged poltergeist cases show quite a different sound signature..."

Have scientists found proof that ghosts exist?
"Professor David Fontana took a deep breath and opened a side-door into the mechanic’s workshop. He peeked inside but could see virtually nothing through the murky gloom.
“Well, here goes,” he mumbled as he stepped into the workshop.
An icy chill rippled slowly down his spine. He looked up, momentarily startled by what he saw. A small piece of engine casing appeared to be levitating a few feet in front of his nose. It tilted slightly to the side and then flew directly towards him. He ducked aside as it whizzed past his head and smashed into the wall behind him..."
