Lewes pub becomes haunt for ghost hunters

“Ghost investigators have stumbled across what they think could be one of the most haunted pubs in the country.

Investigators discovered that the Crown Inn in Lewes may serve more than just the usual spirits after booking in for a ghost inspection at Preston Manor in Brighton.

During investigations last year, the investigators from everythingghost.co.uk say they experienced high electromagnetic readings and experienced unexplained occurrences including sheets being pulled off members of their team and milk cartons being hurled across the room…”

“MILTON — For Michael Wright, seeing ghosts and apparitions is a regular occurrence at his Milton home. However, he said new additions don’t typically come around — until last week.

Wright, who was featured last August on the Biography Channel show, “My Ghost Story,” said he’s been seeing an addition to the many ghosts that keep him and his housemate, Rai Orszak, company: A figure that he says is a famous addition.

“I guarantee it’s the pirate Jean Lafitte,” Wright said. “You won’t believe this thing. It is unbelievable…”

Footsteps when no one is there, the ghostly laughter of children… Is America’s oldest house haunted?

It's the oldest timber frame house in America, lived in for generations by the same family and lovingly kept just as it was in its early Colonial days.

But what the Fairbanks House lacks in modern facilities it seems to make for with ... strange spirits.

The house in Dedham, Massachusetts, was built between 1637 and 1641 by English settlers Jonathan and Grace Fairbanks…

Unexplained activity intrigues Abilene store staff

“Anyone who has ever read Charles Dickens’ novel “A Christmas Carol” or watched any of the dozens of movie spinoffs knows that three ghosts were responsible for getting the miser Ebenezer Scrooge to see the error of his ways and embrace the true meaning of Christmas.

So, it’s not hard to imagine that ghosts might be trying to make their presence known to people working in a downtown Abilene building.

Dark shadows, cold spots and books flying off shelves are just a few of the unusual events which have occurred in the Case building located at 212 N. Broadway in downtown Abilene...”

Nurses's UFO "fright" quashed by MoD

"The nurse who claims to have seen a glowing UFO on a hillside has broken her silence over Ministry of Defence suggestions that it was nothing more than a combination of an earthquake and a meteor.

Pat Evans, whose description of the glowing ball she saw on North Wales’s Berwyn Mountains has prompted more than three decades of debate among Ufologists and scientists, described the MoD claims as “rubbish”.

And retired nurse and midwife Mrs Evans, who rarely speaks of the event, repeated her claim that she saw a UFO on January 23, 1974, in the incident known as the “Welsh Roswell...

"Haunted" village deserted for century

"Ghorachab village in Chhattisgarh’s Korba district is like any other rural habitation in India, except that it remained deserted for over a century, thanks to “mischievous ghosts”.

The picture postcard village, encircled by a perennial stream and rows of eucalyptus trees, can rival any tourist place in the country.

But after twilight, as light fades, the locals, working in their paddy fields, on the outskirt of the village, leave the place in a hurry to escape the “wrath of the ghosts...

Knebworth House is haunted by novelist says Lord Cobbold

"THE pen is mightier than the sword – an iconic proverb coined by Victorian novelist, poet and playwright Edward Bulwer-Lytton in 1839.

It’s a phrase which makes regular appearances to this very day; just like its creator, the ghost of whom is said to haunt the gothic Times Territory stately home where he once lived.

Lord David Cobbold, the great-great-grandson of Bulwer-Lytton, made the revelation about Knebworth House on the BBC Radio 4 show Desert Island Discs, which was broadcast on Sunday...

Investigators say hundreds of ghostly voices speak out in this Gordonsville hotel

"Mark Higgins’ Mystery Machine is a white Chevy Trailblazer with a “Ghost Hunter” license plate holder, but we’re not blazing trails or hunting ghosts yet.

Instead, we’re stuck 10 miles from Pantops Mountain on Route 231, a two-lane road that leads to Gordonsville and to one of the most “active” sites Higgins has investigated: the Exchange Hotel, a former Civil War hospital.

The line of stopped cars extends beyond a bend in the road, so we can’t see the cause of the hold-up...
